Only one week to go, looking like an excellent fest to be apart of!
Big thanks to Jason and Zoe for their interview with AVBD last night on their Milk Bar radio show and also plays of Dolly Dynamite and They May Look Cute (but these dogs bite)…if you missed it you can have a listen here. At approx 10mins 50seconds in 🙂
Yesterday tea-time saw a massively stripped down TC hybrid play a highly impromptu set at St.Albans White Hart Tap, a crowd of bank holiday regulars and many small children made up the audience and boy did the kids love it! Andreas, Wasabi and TBtelski cobbled a last minute gig together to save the day as none of the proposed bands had turned up to the pubs beer fest, it was great fun and raw as hell!
Thanks to Bugbear for the write up 🙂
The Tuesday Club + Mister Susan
+ Black Lantern
Tuesday Club- T Rex, Cockney Rebel, XTC- very poppy glam cum new wave 70s pop with Mott/Clash rnr guitars and piano fills- as they say ‘Remember Top of the Pops? No we mean THE Top of the Pops. When bands went on TV, Jimmy Saville served up a menu of good times, smiling, dancing and just not taking yourself too seriously. Well The Tuesday Club are about to re-ignite that feeling. 6ft chanteuse The Minx would certainly get the kids’ tongues a waggin’ of a Friday morning in the playground…Mister Susan meanwhile offer really interesting experimental industrial psych that takes in early Cabaret Voltaire, Throbbing Gristle and Nurse With Wound but ultimately has big post rock drums and a musicality that takes it nearer the Explosions In The Sky area with techno touches….very more-ish.
Dear all, We’re very excited to have just been scheduled to play at the Salford Music Festival at The Wellington on 22/09/2012
We add this date to 3 others in the same week:
Launch Party at Half Moon Putney on Mon 17th
Dublin Castle on Weds 19th
And Hoxton Underbelly on Fri 21st
So there’s no excuse to not make one eh?! 🙂 stage times will be forthcoming closer to the dates 🙂
Had a great night at The George Tavern, Commercial Road on Friday with Alex and the Camden Calling gang – Dekay and D’Mans were brilliant as ever (and yes we did buy the album) and loved the set by Wolfkang too, sincerely hoping that it isn’t the last of these nights (Alex)… ‘cos we’re defo up for another 🙂 …. big thanks to everyone else who made it down and danced and sang and played the fool with us not least the glamourous Vincettes 🙂 x
